BHCC is excited to announce the launch of our new website and facebook page. Please visit our homepage to find out information of the programs we sponsor, volunteer opportunities, donation drive and also remember to like us on facebook!
The Community Club Donation Drive is still in progress and we need your support! We are up to 19% school-wide participation but know that we can do better! The Community Club supports our students and staff by providing staff lunches, equipment, and supplies for classrooms, student dances, student recognition, anti-bullying programs as well as our Request For Funding Program. Please see a quote below from one of our 2017-2018 RFF recipients. Though we have asked for $250 per student any amount is appreciated.
You are able to contribute by downloading the form or contribute using PayPal via the links found on the membership drive page.
Quote from instructor Jennifer Schweitzer on the RFF program:
"My biggest pride is the wonderful equipment the BHC and RFF donations that have been gifted to my News Room. Most of the outdated equipment has been replaced over the years, bringing us up to speed with newer technology. I have also been very fortunate to have had a laptop purchased as well for me to edit movies that are for the News Show and for school wide assemblies. RFF has been very generous to my classroom and I am very thankful for their support."

Staff Appreciation Luncheon (October)
The teachers and staff of the school were invited to the second Staff Appreciation Luncheon held on October 24, Wednesday in the staff dining room. The Mexican lunch was catered by RUBIO’S and was enjoyed equally by staff and teachers.
The BHCC would like to thank all the parents who helped make it a success by bringing in several delicious desserts as well as helping to set up and clean the place. We would also like to thank for the financial donations that many parents made for the event. Without the help from all of you, it would not have been possible to host and pull it off with success and we sincerely extend our thanks for it. We hope that we continue to get your support in the future as well.
Mr. Mitchell is enjoying coffee as gifts from his PEST pal. Around 50 parents volunteered for PEST program this year. More than half of the teachers and staff had coffee on their wish list. If you want to buy a teacher or staff some coffee or their other favorite gifts, join the PEST program next year!
Everyday Heroes
Bret Harte students are encouraged to join us on the quad (cafeteria if raining) at lunchtime for Everyday Heroes, on the 3rd Tuesday of most school months. We have been moved and humored by the amazing stories students have shared with us about upstanders at BH. That little gesture you made that you thought was no big deal, might have impacted someone else in a meaningful way. Please take the opportunity to communicate and reward peers for those “everyday” heroic deeds.
