Co-president: As the person who oversees and coordinates the work of the board to run BHCC, you works with the partner co-president - presides at BHCC board meeting and general meetings; Serves as the official contact, communicator and representative of the club; Designated as an authorized signer for the club checks and contracts; Works with other program chairs to connect families, school and community to support student success
Bronco Night Chair: The chair responsibilities include - Send out a genius sign up sheet 2-3 weeks before event; Make sure all the parents that sign up are cleared with District; On the night of Bronco Night, the chair needs to make sure Parents are where they need to be. There is enough coverage for the doors, sign ins, coat check in, gym, cafeteria and on the quad.
Emergency Preparedness Co-chair: Natural disasters and other emergencies can happen at any time, and when they happen at school, everyone should be prepared to handle them safely and effectively. The chair responsibilities include - perform research, reviewed and determined needs of Bret Harte; Develop student Emergency Card; Attend “Code Red” training; Purchase supplies for emergency preparedness needs; Teacher training as required.
Treasurer: The Bret Harte Community Club has an opening for the Treasurer position, starting in the 2019-2020 school year. The BHCC Treasurer job would be a great fit for someone with accounting experience. He/she is responsible for processing checks, deposits, bank reconciliations, budgets, and financial reports. Maintains financial records (Quickbooks) on your personal computer. Needs to work closely with the BHCC Board, event chairs and school staff. Responsible for financial reports at the monthly BHCC Board meetings (usually third Tuesday of the month at 9:30 am) and BHCC General Meetings. Works together with Bret Harte Booster Club on shared taxes, insurance, and required filings.
